Mit dem Ausstellungstitel spielt Andrea Giuseppe Corciulo auf das Gemeinsame von Musik und Kunst an. Doch was ist es? Es gehe darum, bestimmte Stimmungen zu vermitteln, in Schwingung zu geraten. Erstmals gibt er einen \u00dcberblick \u00fcber die letzten 25 Jahre seines k\u00fcnstlerischen Schaffens. Im \u00dcberblick l\u00e4sst sich ein roter Faden freilegen, der sich durch die verschiedenen Serien zieht: Gefundene Elemente kombiniert er zu surreal anmutenden, oft befremdlichen Szenerien. J\u00fcngst sind Skulpturen dazugekommen.<\/p>\n

Rachel Lumsden weiss das sinnliche Potential von Malerei f\u00fcr aktuelle weltbezogene Themen zu nutzen. Der „Himmel Helvetia“ sei ein Ort, der sie zum spielerischen Experimentieren einlade und ihr Lust mache, eine schr\u00e4ge Ausstellung f\u00fcr diesen schr\u00e4gen Ort zu erfinden. Basierend auf ihrem „Manifest f\u00fcr Malerei“ zeigt sie kleine und grosse Malereien aus den letzten Jahren in einem Wechselspiel zwischen Raum und Bildern. Krieg, Politik, Popkultur, Landschaften \u2013 alles ist erlaubt.<\/span><\/p>\n

In Rotmonten war mit dem Projekt \u201eGeiler Block\u201c w\u00e4hrend dreier Wochenenden ein abends weitum leuchtendes UFO gelandet, das zu einem angesagten kulturellen Treffpunkt wurde. Das Schweizer Fernsehen berichtete dar\u00fcber (SRF Schweiz Aktuell, 22.6.2015), und auch in der Presse fand dieses Projekt durch seine Frische und Qualit\u00e4t wiederholt Niederschlag.<\/span><\/p>\n

Insbesondere im Zusammenhang mit dieser Ausstellung, die sie im Alleingang initiiert, \u00fcber mehrere Monate mit stiller Beharrlichkeit, kontinuierlicher \u00dcberzeugungsarbeit, grossem Verhandlungsgeschick und k\u00fcnstlerischem Feingef\u00fchl geplant und zu einem \u00fcber die Stadtgrenzen hinaus wahrgenommenen Kunstereignis gef\u00fchrt hat, geb\u00fchrt Anita Zimmermann nach Ansicht der Kulturkommission ein F\u00f6rderungspreis.\u201c<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

„Die seit 25 Jahren in St.Gallen wohnhafte Anita Zimmermann (*1956) hat sich als eigenst\u00e4ndige K\u00fcnstlerin und engagierte Kunstvermittlerin einen Namen gemacht. Nebst ihrem eigentlichen k\u00fcnstlerischen Schaffen setzt sie sich immer wieder f\u00fcr die Vernetzung und die \u00f6ffentliche Pr\u00e4sentierung vorwiegend hiesiger K\u00fcnstler und K\u00fcnstlerinnen ein.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bereits 1994 hat Anita Zimmermann von der Stadt St.Gallen eine damals als \u201eErmunterungspreis\u201c bezeichnete erste offizielle Anerkennung erhalten. Im August 2015 bezog sie das von der Stadt St.Gallen ausgeschriebene Atelier in Berlin f\u00fcr sechs Monate. Ziel des Aufenthalts war die Entwicklung ihrer eigenen k\u00fcnstlerischen Arbeit und die Vernetzung Schweizer Kulturschaffender mit der dortigen Kunstszene.<\/span><\/p>\n

Seit der Ateliervergabe hat Anita Zimmermann allerdings noch weiter von sich reden gemacht, und zwar als umsichtige Ausstellungsorganisatorin und -kuratorin. Im Juni 2015 \u00fcberzeugte sie mit der Ausstellung \u201eGeiler Block\u201c in dieser Funktion. Es gelang ihr, einen leerstehenden und dem Abriss geweihten Betonbau aus den 1960er-Jahren in Rotmonten in einen tempor\u00e4ren Ausstellungsort zu verwandeln. Dazu lud sie mit sicherem Gesp\u00fcr 37 Kunstschaffende aus St.Gallen und den umliegenden Kantonen ein. Die Ausstellung, an welcher sich namhafte k\u00fcnstlerische Gr\u00f6ssen mit zumeist eigens f\u00fcr den Ort geschaffenen Installationen beteiligten, begeisterte einerseits ein grosses Publikum. Die sorgsame Organisation, Koordination und Kuration freute andererseits die eingeladenen Kunstschaffenden.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
